Registered Nurse PCU

About the Role

As a Progressive Care Registered Nurse at Centerpoint Medical Center, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, you will provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, serving as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor’s Degree, Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date).
