Registered Nurse - Part Time - On Call

About the Role

The Staff Nurse provides professional, technical nursing care within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. They are responsible for direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process, supervising team members, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver age-appropriate, patient-centered care. They support hospital standards, promote a safe and therapeutic environment, and ensure effective communication with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and skilled patient care across diverse clinical situations.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs.
• Supervise and collaborate with team members to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and effective communication.
• Support safety protocols, medication administration, and patient education.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
• At least 12 months of RN experience or completion of a Nurse Residency Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification and additional certifications as required.
• Knowledge of hospital policies, nursing standards, and confidentiality.
