About the Role
A qualified nurse practicing independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex patient care, while managing long-term goals and contingencies. The nurse delegates tasks appropriately to care team members to ensure effective clinical management.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care following established standards, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
- Assess educational needs and provide relevant education to patients, families, and caregivers.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state or a compact license.
- Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
- Completion of organizational orientation, competency validation, and annual requirements.
- Participation in residency or specific orientation programs for new licenses.
- Ability to obtain required certifications within specified grace periods.
Qualifications & Skills
- Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
Schedule
Part-time shifts from 7PM to 7AM.
