Registered Nurse, Part-time 24-hour, Days, 7A -7P, Emergency Department, Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center
About the role
Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
- Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
- Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Makes assessments, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
- Records patient vital signs and medical information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: BSN preferred.
- Experience: 2 -3 years of ED Experience or Acute Care Experience.
- Certificates: BLS required. ACLS will be required prior to completing ED orientation. PALS to be completed within one year of hire date except for pediatrics.
- Licenses: Valid NJ RN license or compact license.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patient and compassionate nature.
- Ability to operate as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems.
