About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Inpatient Palliative Care Unit provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with serious or life-limiting illnesses. This role is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care focused on symptom management, comfort, quality of life, and support for patients and families. The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team and utilizes evidence-based practice, technology, and therapeutic interventions to deliver holistic care that honors each patient's goals and values.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care focused on symptom management, comfort, quality of life, and support for patients and families.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care that supports patients and families facing serious illness.
- Utilize evidence-based practice, technology, and therapeutic interventions to deliver care that honors each patient's goals and values.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Nurses working under a compact license must transfer their license to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
