Registered Nurse PACU

Responsibilities

• Lead patient recovery by monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and evaluating responses to interventions.
• Maintain sterile conditions and adhere to evidence-based protocols (AORN/ASPAN) to promote healing and safety.
• Cook with the care team through accurate documentation and communication of patient status.
• Anticipate clinical needs using knowledge of pathophysiology and surgical procedures to prevent complications.

Qualifications & Skills

• Registered Nurse licensure from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification; ALS certification within 6 months; Pediatric ALS preferred.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent professional licensure.

Key Duties

• Manage immediate post-anesthesia recovery during critical phases.
• Provide vigilant, direct patient care with a focus on safety and comfort.
• Apply clinical knowledge to anticipate and address patient needs.
• Ensure compliance with sterile and safety standards.
• Document patient progress accurately to support seamless care transitions.

Additional

• Minimal call required.
• Flexibility to work occasional nights, weekends, or holidays.
