Riverside Health System is hiring RNs in Newport News, Virginia. The hiring range is $36.50 - $50.23 hourly, with actual pay determined by job-related factors.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient clinical and psychosocial needs using standards of practice.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates a plan of care, treatments, and procedures contributing to physiological and psychosocial outcomes.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for care coordination.
• Facilitates safe patient transitions to the next level of care as part of the care plan.
• Ensures quality outcomes and evidence-based care for patients.
• Coordinates and delivers individualized patient education and discharge-specific education to family/caregivers.
• Evaluates for comprehension and documents accurately.
• Completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Delegates and prioritizes tasks to facilitate quality patient care and service excellence.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations, using systems to ensure needs are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred), Associates Degree in Nursing (Preferred), or Program Graduate in Nursing (Nursing Diploma is minimum education requirement, Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Nursing accepted in lieu of Nursing Diploma).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) or licensed in a compact state.
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2 years of experience for full-time positions.
• Bonus: Full-time RNs may be eligible for a $7,000 bonus, and new graduates may receive a $6,000 bonus.
