Registered Nurse – Outpatient – Riley Peds Rheumatology

Responsibilities

• Partnering with providers to implement treatment plans
• Educating patients and families
• Cooking up follow-up care
• Managing medications
• Conducting dedicated phone triage

Requirements

• Pediatric experience preferred
• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
• Might require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction
• Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
• More than two years of relevant clinical experience may be considered for exceptions

Benefits

Based at the IU Health Administrative Offices (1120 W. Michigan Street, CL200/Gatch Hall, Indianapolis), the role primarily supports outpatient clinics at Riley Outpatient Center and may include occasional clinic coverage at IU North in Carmel.

Pay

$30,000 sign-on bonus available for both part-time and full-time roles.

Schedule

This full-time RN position works four 10-hour shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM) with no weekends or holidays required.
