Registered Nurse - Outpatient Infusion Center

About the role

The Infusion Nurse provides specialized nursing care by administering intravenous (IV) therapies in an outpatient clinic or infusion center. This role involves managing treatments for patients receiving medications such as antibiotics, chemotherapy, IVIG, hydration, or biologics on a scheduled basis, ensuring safety, comfort, and education throughout the infusion process.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV therapies, including antibiotics, chemotherapy, IVIG, hydration, and biologics.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education during infusion treatments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required).
• 4-Year/Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board-approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. To be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state (required).
• One year of experience with IV therapy, ideally in outpatient care (highly preferred).
• Experience with chemotherapy and oncology (preferred).

Schedule

8:00 am – 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday, 4 × 9-hour shifts.
