About the Role
Provides professional nursing care in the outpatient surgical setting, supporting patients undergoing invasive procedures.
Responsibilities
- Performs scrub functions, selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
- Conducts circulating duties by monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions.
- Assists surgeons with tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepares operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for procedures.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Minimum of a diploma from an accredited nursing school.
Additional Information
Must maintain licensure and certification requirements to deliver safe, effective care in a fast-paced surgical environment.
