About the role
Provides professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
Responsibilities
- Performs scrub functions by handling instruments and supplies
- Performs circulating duties by monitoring and communicating patient conditions
- Assists surgeons with tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning
- Prepares operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for procedures
Requirements
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse with a valid Alabama license
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program
