About the Role
To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing).
- Completion of general nursing orientation, CPR certification, and unit-based orientation.
- Computer and keyboard skills.
- Medical terminology required.
- BLS certification required.
Skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including speech clarity and understanding relayed information.
- Deductive and inductive reasoning skills (applying general rules to specific problems and combining information to form conclusions).
- Ability to perform work accurately, pay attention to details, and manage changing tasks efficiently.
- Competence in stressful situations and adaptability to changing patient needs with acute, chronic, complex, and/or terminal disease processes.
- Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team (e.g., physicians, rehab, respiratory, diagnostics, laboratory).
- Effective time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
Physical and Cognitive Requirements
- Full range of body motion, including assisting patients, stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.
- Classified as Very Heavy Work by USDOL: exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
- Adherence to NIOSH guidelines, lifting no more than 51 pounds without assistance.
- Manual and finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and constant talking/listening in English.
- Considerable walking, standing, sitting, reaching, filing, typing, and photocopying.

Pay
Pay range: $45.52 - $56.90 per hour. Actual individual salaries vary depending on role, experience, education, and licensure.
