About the role
Provides clinical leadership and direct patient care in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient/family-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive assessments and develops and updates individualized care plans.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to monitor patient progress and evaluate care effectiveness.
- Ensures safety and compliance with policies, incorporating quality improvement initiatives.
- Delegates tasks appropriately and educates patients and families.
- Advocates for patients and maintains documentation standards.
- Participates in performance improvement activities and promotes a safe environment.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred).
- One year of RN experience or equivalent residency/LPN experience.
- Current RN license recognized by NCSBN.
Skills
- Knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of patient safety and cultural competence.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
No management responsibilities; reports to a supervisor. Flexible work shifts may be required.
