Registered Nurse - OR - Days

Hourly pay range: $36.00 - $55.80. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

About the Role

Position: Charge Registered Nurse - Surgery/OR at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. Full-time role with 36 hours per week. Hours are 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating call that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Renders professional nursing care to provide quality patient care.
• Employs critical thinking skills to assess patients’ condition, recognize deviations, plan and evaluate care, monitor patients’ progress, and record pertinent observations.
• Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff.
• Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals.

Requirements

• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
• Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate degree in nursing or higher level nursing degree (BSN required within 5 years from start date).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within ninety days of start date into position.
• Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within ninety days of start date into position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree or higher in Nursing.
• Previous OR/Surgery experience.
• OR Charge experience.
