Registered Nurse OR 13-week assignment System Pool SRO
About the role
BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking experienced OR Registered Nurses to join their outstanding and compassionate float team.
Responsibilities
- Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
- Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
- Collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in the plan of care.
- Organizes and prioritizes and updates the plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and significant others in the department.
- Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares the room environment.
- Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license.
- BLS is required.
- Associates Degree in Nursing.
- 18 months RN experience in an acute OR setting is required.
- 2 years RN experience in an acute OR setting is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with Cerner EMR is strongly preferred.
- Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts.
- Flexibility to work weekends occasionally.
- On-call requirements vary between 6:30a-7a during the week and 1-2 call days during the weekend (Sat or Sun) in a 4-week period.
- Facility does have a call room.
Benefits
BayCare offers a variety of assignment options including system-wide 13-week OR assignments at St. Joseph's Hospital North, Lutz, FL. Assignments are provided with a unit provided schedule and block scheduling is not available. There is a 30-minute call back requirement.
