About the role

This position operates within the Operating Room at The University of Vermont Medical Center, Vermont's only Level I Trauma Center. It is a collaborative, patient-centered environment where OR nurses work closely with surgeons, a supportive team, and available leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Circulate and scrub across a broad range of surgical cases.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and a supportive team to provide patient-centered care.
  • Communicate efficiently and share accountability in the surgical environment.
  • Work in a flexible schedule with options for 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts.
  • Enjoy safe staffing with reliable break coverage and reasonable call expectations.
  • Have opportunities for specialty alignment and professional growth in a high-acuity OR setting.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
  • ADN required, BSN preferred.
  • Appropriate experience in specific clinical areas, varying by unit.

Qualifications

  • Prior Operating Room Nursing Experience Required.
  • On-call: Required.
