About the role
The RN utilizes the Nursing Process in a collaborative manner to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with his/her scope of practice. The RN supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph's Healthcare System and on his/her assigned unit.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the Nursing Process in a collaborative manner to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with his/her scope of practice.
- Serves as a resource to other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Assists in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Participates in ongoing education and training programs to enhance professional growth.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.
- Successful completion of department specific orientation and department specific certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), to be completed within the 3 month introductory period.
- Successful completion of certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.
Qualifications

Pay
St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.
