Job Description As a Registered Nurse in our Operating Room, you will be an integral part of our surgical team, providing exceptional patient care and family support. You will work closely with physicians, ensuring they have the necessary equipment and supplies for successful procedures. Your role is crucial in maintaining a smooth and efficient surgical process, contributing to positive patient outcomes and overall patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Provide exceptional patient care and family support throughout the surgical experience. Assist physicians with surgical and endoscopic procedures, ensuring a seamless workflow. Maintain a safe and sterile operating environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring their proper functioning. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient transitions between pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases. Monitor patient vital signs and provide timely updates to the surgical team. Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, providing clear and concise information. Document patient care accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the continuous enhancement of patient care. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and cooperation. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred, with on-the-job training provided. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centric approach. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic surgical environment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a sterile operating room. Proficient in basic computer skills and electronic health record systems. Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
