About the Role
This role involves delivering professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform scrub functions, handling instruments and supplies during procedures.
- Conduct circulating duties, monitoring patient conditions and managing overall nursing care throughout the surgical process.
- Assist physicians with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for use.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
- Operating Room (OR) experience is preferred.
Schedule
The position requires availability for full-time weekday shifts with rotating call duties, including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
