About the Role
Delivering professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform scrub functions by selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
- Conduct circulating functions such as monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist surgeons with tasks like hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for surgeries.
Qualifications
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
- OR experience preferred.
Additional Information
