Registered Nurse - Operating Room Ambulatory

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join an Ambulatory Surgical Center in an Operating Room (OR) role. The role involves operating room procedures such as ophthalmology, pain management, and podiatry.

Responsibilities

• Preparing operating rooms by ensuring the availability and functionality of surgical instruments, supplies, implants, medications, and equipment.
• Assisting with room setup and maintaining sterile fields in accordance with infection control standards.
• Functioning in scrub and/or circulator roles during surgical procedures.
• Anticipating the needs of surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent OR experience; Interventional Radiology experience considered.
• High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year/Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency in setting priorities, organizing workload, and interpreting patient information based on age‑specific needs.
• Knowledge of RN roles and ability to modify care accordingly.
• Strong telephone screening and interviewing skills.
