Registered Nurse, Oncology, Full Time, Day

To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
• Physically assist patients, requiring stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, including speech clarity and understanding relayed information.
• Apply deductive and inductive reasoning skills to problem-solving.
• Perform work accurately and pay attention to details while frequently changing tasks.
• Function competently in stressful situations and adapt to changing work environments related to patient needs.
• Work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary health system team (e.g., MDs, Rehab, Respiratory, DI, Laboratory).
• Utilize effective time management skills to set priorities, problem-solve, and deliver care.
• Engage in considerable walking, standing, sitting, reaching, filing, typing, and photocopying.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing).
• Completion of general nursing orientation, CPR certification, and unit-based orientation.
• Computer and keyboard skills.
• Medical terminology required.

Skills

• Full range of body motion, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly (following NIOSH guidelines).
• Manual and finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and constant talking/listening in English.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role classified as Very Heavy Work by USDOL.

Pay

Pay Range: $47.80 - $59.75 per hour. Actual individual salaries vary depending on role, experience, education, and licensure.
