Registered Nurse, Med Surg/Oncology, Full Time, Day

About the role

To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing). Completion of general nursing orientation, CPR certification and unit-based orientation.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience in a similar role or related field is required. Computer and keyboard skills. Medical terminology required.

Skills

• Physical requirements: full range of body motion including assisting patients, stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing and pulling.
• Classified as Very Heavy Work (exerting >100 lbs occasionally, >50 lbs frequently, >20 lbs constantly).
• Follow NIOSH guidelines (average worker not lift >51 lbs without assistance).
• Manual and finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination.
• Constant talking and listening in English.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, speech clarity, understanding information, deductive and inductive reasoning.
• Considerable walking, standing, sitting, reaching, filing, typing, photocopying.
• Ability to perform work accurately, pay attention to details, task-switching without loss of efficiency.
• Ability to function competently in stressful situations and changing work environment related to patient needs.
• Ability to work cooperatively within health system, multidisciplinary team members.
• Ability to utilize effective time management skills to set priorities, problem solve and deliver care.

Pay

Pay Range: $47.80 - $59.75 per hour. Actual individual salaries vary depending on role, experience, education, and licensure.
