About the role

The SESLHD Mental Health Service provides care to over 930,000 residents in the Sydney metropolitan area, delivering hospital and community‑based support for people living with mental illness. The Older Persons Inpatient Mental Health Unit at St George Hospital, Kogarah, offers specialist inpatient care for consumers aged 65 years and over experiencing mental illness. As a Registered Nurse you will join a multidisciplinary team delivering person‑centred, recovery‑oriented care in this specialised setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and delivering high‑quality nursing care to older consumers with mental illness.
• Undertaking comprehensive assessments of consumers and their families.
• Supporting consumers and families throughout their care journey.
• Contributing to positive clinical outcomes within a specialised mental health setting.

Qualifications

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
