About the role
This RN role is based in Nashville, TN, at a Midtown hospital in the Observation department, working PRN night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients requiring observation, including ongoing assessments, cardiac and neurological monitoring, and timely interventions for early detection of changes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate testing and treatment plans.
- Coordinate patient and family education on disease management, medications, and discharge instructions.
Requirements
- Minimum requirements include an active RN license from the Tennessee Board of Nursing, BLS certification within 30 days, and a nursing diploma or equivalent.
- PREFERRED qualifications are 6 months of acute care experience and willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale certification.
