Qualifications

• Current SD Registered Nurse licensure required.
• Strong technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work, at times, in a fast-paced, emotionally demanding environment.

Physical Demands

• Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts with frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching.

Work Environment

• Indoor, safety-sensitive, requiring physical presence on-site.

About the Role

Faulkton Area Medical Center (FAMC) is an independent, non-profit Critical Access Hospital serving our community and surrounding area with pride—and we’re looking for Registered Nurses who want meaningful work in a place where they are known, supported, and trusted.

This is a full-time RN position with variable 12-hour shifts (3 shifts per week), including days, nights, rotating weekends, and holidays.

Faulkton Area Medical Center is an independent, non-profit, 12-bed Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic. We are located along SD HWY 212 in Faulkton, SD serving a diverse population of 3,000 within a 60 mile radius. FAMC is one of the few independent hospitals left in the state of South Dakota. We offer a wide range of services to all ages. Our hospital is also designated by the state as a Level V trauma receiving facility.
