Registered Nurse- Nursing Float Pool

About the role

Join our Inpatient Medical Surgical Float Pool! This role involves caring for a variety of complex medical disorders across multiple units, utilizing and developing a broad range of clinical skills.

• Primary patient population: Variety of complex medical disorders
• Personnel you will work with: LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, WOCN
• Units you will float to: Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down, General Medicine

Responsibilities

• IV placement, blood draws, foley catheter insertion/removal
• Tracheostomy care, NG placement, PEG tube management, care of various drains
• Wound care
• Time management, critical thinking, and delegating tasks

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
• 1 year of inpatient RN experience
• PRN roles require 1 year of relevant RN experience

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN
• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
