Role Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients within a designated timeframe, delivering patient care through the nursing process, utilizing current trends, technology, and resources aligned with institutional philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Perform unit-specific duties and implement related procedures and theories.
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care for seamless healthcare team integration.
- Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient and family needs.
- Implement, evaluate, and modify care plans accordingly.
- Ensure patient and staff safety by reporting hazards and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with team members, offering feedback and supporting professional development.
- Complete departmental competencies and float across various inpatient units, including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs.
- Provide direct nursing care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and coordinate patient care.
- Mentor and precept staff from different units, promoting high-quality care.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensed RN with required certifications (ACLS, BLS).
- Associate's degree or higher.
- Minimum of two years inpatient nursing experience.
- Ability to adapt to various clinical settings.
