Registered Nurse - Nursing Float Pool

Role Overview

Join the inpatient medical-surgical float pool, providing high-quality, patient-centered care across various adult units including Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down, and General Medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex medical procedures such as IV placement, blood draws, Foley catheter insertion/removal, tracheostomy care, NG placement, PEG tubes, drains, and wound care.
• Utilize advanced technology like patient lifts, virtual whiteboards, telemetry monitoring, and hands-free communication tools.
• Manage time effectively, employ critical thinking, and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Collaborate with LPNs, PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, and WOCN.
• Float across various units, adapting to different patient needs and care protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program or seeking accreditation.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or obtained within 90 days.
• At least 1 year of inpatient RN experience; PRN needs relevant RN experience.
• Preferred: BSN and Magnet-recognized professional certification.
