Registered Nurse - Nursing Float Pool

About the role

Join the Inpatient Medical Surgical Float Pool as a Registered Nurse, providing care across diverse adult units including Oncology, Telemetry, Post-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma Step Down, and General Medicine.

Key responsibilities

• Providing care for patients with complex medical disorders using advanced technology such as patient lifts, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring.
• Performing skills like IV placement, blood draws, Foley catheter insertion/removal, tracheostomy care, NG placement, PEG tube management, wound care, and managing drains.
• Applying critical thinking, time management, and delegation to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Collaborating with LPNs, PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, and WOCN.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program or eligible for accreditation.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA) or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of inpatient RN experience; PRN requires relevant RN experience.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program.
