Registered Nurse Nurse-Allied
Qualifications
Degree/Education: Possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited agency.
Certifications: Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as a medical doctor in the United States.
Licenses/Registrations: Possess and maintain a valid current US work visa.
Duties
Prior to providing services, the MD must complete a unit orientation and competency assessment. The MD must be deemed fully competent by their immediate supervisor no later than 60 days after commencement of services.
Collaborate and integrate with members of the Medical Home Port (MHP) Team, other departments, and directors to achieve optimal care for the patient in the MHP model.
Participate in MHP Team huddles. Proactively assist the teams identification of diagnostic procedures required during scheduled scrubs.
Aid in identifying patient education needs and review plans with team members for coordination of educational needs.
Coordinate the screening of enrolled patients to identify those needing preventative services and education based on their specific health care needs, including health and wellness topics, medical conditions, and medical procedures.
Engage other MHP Team members to assist in improving documentation of the episode of care using MHP Clinic-approved templates and the initial template (i.e., Tri Service Workflow/COMPASS).
Use secure messaging in accordance with departmental or command standard operating procedures.
