Registered Nurse - Night Shift

About the role

The Missouri Veterans Home is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve our state’s bravest heroes. This role is part of a team dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to veterans.

Responsibilities

• Assess, organize, and plan staff duties on assigned shift on assigned unit
• Implement Veteran MDS and care plan according to healthcare protocol
• Make rounds with the physician, inform of status of patients and receive instructions for care and treatment
• Transcribe and implement physician’s orders accurately
• Document accurately all nursing assessments, interventions, and evaluations in electronic medical record (EMR)
• Give medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician accurately with follow-up observations
• Auxiliary tasks include assisting Veterans with various needs such as transferring, positioning, transporting, feeding, promoting elimination, toileting, bathing and showering, etc.
• Auxiliary tasks also include assisting Veterans upon admission and/or discharge

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse – in good standing
• Or a recent graduate of an accredited nursing program may practice as a graduate nurse until results of first licensure examination are received or until 90 days after graduation, whichever occurs first, as allowed by the Missouri Board of Nursing

Pay

• Day shift: $38.92 - $41.80/hour
• Night and evening shift: $42.42 - $45.56/hour
• Pay commensurate with experience

• Shifts available: Day, Evening, Night
