Registered Nurse - Night Shift - Acute MedSurgical

Role Overview

This position involves practicing independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex nursing care while managing long-term goals and plans. The nurse delegates tasks appropriately to care team members to ensure optimal patient management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care following the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs with increasing complexity.
• Administer medications and treatments using established protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and available resources.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
