About the Role
Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Responsibilities
- Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the postpartum period, while in the hospital setting
- Caring for the infants and educating mothers about care
- Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill
- Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- Current Nevada nursing license
- Current BLS certificate
- NRP within 6 months of hire
- STABLE within 6 months of hire
- 2 years of Level 3 NICU/Transport Experience required
- Neonatal nursing experience preferred
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
