Registered Nurse NICU Air Transport

About the role

We are seeking a NICU Transport Nurse to provide critical neonatal care during ground and air transports, collaborating with the Medical Control Provider and the Maternal Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

• Identify, plan, and execute stabilization and emergency care for NICU patients
• Serve as an ambassador for the organization to referring facilities and providers
• Deliver care in accordance with hospital policies, state Nurse Practice Acts, and AAP guidelines
• Perform transport duties primarily by ground and helicopter, with occasional fixed-wing flights
• Maintain daily transport responsibilities with a collaborative, unit-based approach

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and current RN licensure in applicable states
• Minimum of 3 years NICU experience in a tertiary obstetrical care center
• BCLS and NRP certification, maintained during employment
• Commitment to high-quality, safe neonatal transport
• Strong clinical skills, adaptability, and excellent communication abilities
