About the Role
The registered nurse (RN) provides high-quality emergency care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients using clinical protocols.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and perform emergency procedures.
- Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and communicate changes.
- Operate life-support equipment and assist with trauma and diagnostic tests.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians and EMS.
- Educate patients and families, document care accurately, and promote safety and quality outcomes.
Requirements
- Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC certifications.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire; CEN and BSN preferred.
- Facility-specific certifications may be required (e.g., TNNC, NRP, MICN).
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
