About the Role

Baptist South is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for the Neuro PCU Days shift. We are looking for candidates with Med/Surg, PCU, or Critical Care experience. New hires are eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) aligned with the mission statement.
• Organize and supervise care provided by supportive personnel.
• Coordinate care with ancillary services.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care, including patients and their significant others/families.
• Educate patients, significant others, and families about disease processes and care plans.
• Serve as a patient advocate.
• Provide care for patients requiring treatment of medical, surgical, or other conditions, including chronic medical issues and minor injuries or illnesses.
• Interact with physicians and other hospital departments.
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (required).
• Bachelor of Arts/Science in Nursing (BA/BS) (preferred).
• 1-2 years of hospital experience.
• 1-2 years of Cardiac or Telemetry experience (preferred).
• Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care experience.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
