About the role
The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across all age groups, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. He/she works within organizational policies, demonstrating professional growth and accountability, while maintaining standards of practice.
Responsibilities
- Carefully assesses patients to determine their needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care to meet patient needs.
- Coordinates patient care activities of assigned staff to deliver quality nursing services.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing school required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Work Experience: No experience required; new graduates eligible; hospital experience preferred; 1-year hospital experience preferred for PRN roles.
Qualifications
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC multistate license required; BCLS certification required; additional specialty certifications optional.
