About the Role
Provide direct patient care in a Medical Telemetry Unit, including medication administration, patient assessment, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Monitor adult and geriatric patients with serious conditions such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, withdrawal syndromes, and chronic illnesses.
- Evaluate patient status, assist with procedures, and support inpatient care for diverse diagnoses.
- Transfer patients from various sources within the hospital.
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced telemetry setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate timely interventions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current Delaware RN licensure or eligibility.
- BSN or commitment to obtain within three years.
- Minimum of one year RN experience; inpatient acute care preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Strong critical thinking, teamwork, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to anticipate patient and team needs with compassion.
