Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical, Urology/Renal, Nights

About the role

The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. They operate within organizational policies, demonstrate professional growth, and ensure high standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care activities and supervise assigned staff to deliver quality nursing services.
• Maintain adherence to organizational policies and standards of practice.
• Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in the relevant state; multistate license preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional specialty certifications may be needed based on unit.
• New graduates are eligible; hospital experience preferred, particularly in specialized units such as ICU, ER, Pediatrics, or Surgical Services.

Additional Certifications

Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy/Biotherapy, CDN, or specialty-specific credentials are required depending on the unit. Nurses in specialized areas must complete required certifications within specified timeframes.
