About the Role
The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care during hospital stays, assessing, managing, and coordinating patient activities with a patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities
- Performs thorough assessments and reassessments, documenting findings accurately.
- Develops, evaluates, and updates individualized care plans based on assessments, diagnoses, and protocols.
- Delivers and documents nursing interventions, collaborates with the healthcare team, administers medications, and educates patients and families.
- Recognizes changes in patient condition, takes appropriate actions, and reports significant events.
- Provides specialized care such as restraint and pain management, and assesses for abuse.
- Ensures adherence to safety, infection control, and quality standards, maintaining a safe and organized environment.
- Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and effective communication, fostering a respectful team atmosphere.
- Participates in performance improvement, evidence-based practice, and research activities, contributing to quality enhancement.
- Delivers age-appropriate care, respects patient dignity, and communicates compassionately to meet patient needs.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid RN license in the applicable state.
- BLS certification.
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and maintain high standards of care.
- Commitment to professional growth, respectful conduct, and delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced hospital setting.
