Role Overview

The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across all ages, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. They operate within organizational policies, demonstrate professional growth, and ensure quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cook up patient care activities and supervise assigned staff to deliver high-quality nursing services.
  • Maintain standards of practice and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Absorb patient needs, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Support professional development and accountability within the nursing team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current Georgia RN licensure and/or NLC/eNCL multistate license.
  • Required certifications include BCLS; additional certifications may be needed based on specialty.
  • New graduates are eligible; hospital experience is preferred.
  • Specialty certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or others may be required depending on the unit.
