Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Charge Nurse - Nights

About the role

Provides leadership and coordination for nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care and clinical objectives are met.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors staff during shifts, contributing to performance evaluations.
• Assesses patient care needs, develops and distributes care assignments to ensure appropriate care.
• Collaborates with advanced practice providers to achieve quality outcomes.
• Evaluates patient care effectiveness, identifies issues affecting outcomes, and responds to care complaints.
• May participate in hiring, training, and staff development.
• Maintains a constant state of alertness and ensures safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• At least one year of RN experience.
• Current RN license with applicable certifications (BLS required).
• Strong communication, assessment, and leadership skills.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform patient care tasks.
