RN - Registered Charge Nurse - Cardiac Surgical - Nights

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills.
• Acting as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team.
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse.
• Acting as a mentor and resource expert.

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required.
• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required.
• ACLS Certification if required by department.
• RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion in lieu of education.
• Certification must be RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications Grid.
• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred.
• Bachelors degree in Nursing, BS in a healthcare related field, or RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification is required within 7 months of hire/promotion.
• 2 years of RN experience is required.
• 1 year of leadership experience is preferred.
