Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

About the role

Provides direct and indirect patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams to improve outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to restore health while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, with flexibility for additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition accurately and appropriately
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Provide age-appropriate care and support self-care activities
• Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans
• Utilize nursing knowledge for treatments and services
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in patient care
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical skills
• Address psychosocial needs and coordinate post-discharge care
• Practice cost-effective resource usage
• Prioritize patient care efficiently and promote safety
• Engage in lifelong learning to maintain professional competence

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Computer literacy required
• RN licensure; BLS certification within 14 days of hire
• Preferred: ACLS/PALS certifications
