Summary Of Role And Responsibilities This position provides direct and indirect patient care in a Med/Surg Surgical setting, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. The nurse utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to deliver high-quality services while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Key duties include assessing patients accurately based on medical conditions , administering prescribed medications , performing treatments and basic self-care support , developing and evaluating patient education plans, including family involvement , assisting physicians with procedures and performing technical tasks , addressing psychosocial needs and coordinating post-discharge care with social services , using cost-effective practices and ensuring patient safety , and committing to lifelong professional learning Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing programComputer literacyRN license and BLS certification within 14 days of hirePreferred: ACLS/PALS certifications
