About the Unit
6 South is a 35-bed medical stepdown unit specializing in patients with a variety of medical and neurological diagnoses, including those requiring telemetry monitoring. The unit offers virtual nursing and camera monitoring and serves as an excellent starting point for nurses beginning their careers or preparing for future specialties.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients with diverse medical and neurological conditions in a stepdown unit.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including virtual nursing support.
Requirements
- Current Michigan Nursing License (Graduate Nurses invited to apply).
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- BSN degree preferred or must agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.
- BLS Certification required.
