Role Overview
A skilled Nurse practicing independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care, while managing long-term goals and adapting to clinical contingencies. Responsible for delegating tasks to care team members to ensure optimal patient management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs in accordance with practice standards.
- Administer medications and treatments using approved protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying resources and issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in related nursing specialty preferred; new graduates accepted.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or via compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Completion of organizational orientation and annual competency validations.
Additional Requirements
- Proficiency in critical care settings is preferred.
- Certifications such as Pediatric Life Support, TNCC, TCAR, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring, and STABLE should be obtained within specified timeframes.
- Must attend orientation within 30 days of hire and pass competency validations.
Schedule
PRN position working from 7PM to 7AM.
