Role Overview
The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating patient care, including direct care, patient/family education, and care transitions. They support professional nursing practices across various settings, ensuring comprehensive, safe, and effective care.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care.
- Provide leadership through mentorship, informal leadership roles, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Delegate patient care considering skill level, patient acuity, and resource availability.
- Maintain excellent communication, mentoring, and teaching skills.
- Participate in committees or projects as needed.
- May be required to drive personal vehicles for role-related duties.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of a nursing program; baccalaureate degree preferred or required within five years if starting after a specific date.
- One year of RN or LPN experience preferred.
- Current RN license and Basic Life Support certification.
- Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Leadership qualities and ability to adapt to unpredictable situations.
Pay
The role is nonexempt with compensation ranging from $43.84 to $66.84 per hour.
Schedule
It offers part-time hours with 12-hour shifts, including every third weekend/holiday.
