Registered Nurse - Med Surg Ortho

Role Overview

Responsible for delivering safe, effective nursing care in an acute or ambulatory setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across all age groups, following established protocols and standards.
• Perform assessments, administer treatments, and monitor patient progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with healthcare team members.
• Adhere to infection control policies and utilize PPE as required.
• Operate in a fast-paced environment, managing interruptions and multitasking efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSc in Nursing preferred.
• Current NYS RN license required; professional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) preferred.
• Previous clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care is advantageous.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as walking, standing, bending, and lifting.

Work Environment & Other Requirements

Work in clinical and office settings, with exposure to cleaning solutions and PPE use. Access to non-restricted patient information per HIPAA Level 3 guidelines.
